Key fundraising initiatives for 2024-2025

Thanks to the support of our donor community, we continue to advance our mission. The following are some of our key initiatives through 2025:

  • NICU Expansion and Renovation: The newborn intensive care unit (NICU) is being transformed with plans to create a family-centric, modernized and expanded unit with an enhanced clinical environment. Learn More
  • New Residency Program: MoBap was chosen as the site for a new internal medicine residency program. Donations will be used to create a new residency clinic, as well as fund technology, curriculum development, research and teaching.  Learn More

Fully funded initiatives

With the support of our donor community, several key projects have been completed that enhance patient care and experience:

  • Cardiovascular Hybrid Operating Suite: This suite allows cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists to collaborate on complex procedures in one place instead of scheduling separate interventions on separate occasions.
  • Renovation of Suite B112: Suite 112 in Building B is a shared space for patients receiving imaging services, dietary counseling and laboratory services. Updates include new flooring, LED lights, registration desks and modern furniture in the waiting room, and more.
  • New Recovery Recliners: Champions for Care raised money to purchase new patient recovery recliners for the orthopedic department.
  • Wound Center Expansion: To better accommodate patients, the wound center added more exam rooms and a larger waiting room.
  • Moneta Conference Room Renovation: This conference room is essential to the cardiac care team, providing a space for critical education for those who deliver care.

Together, we are extrodinary

Through your gift, the Missouri Baptist Healthcare Foundation enhances patient care, offers clinical education to all caregivers and allows us to create improved ways to care for you. There are many ways to get involved:

  • Make a Monetary Gift: Your donations directly impact MoBap’s ability to provide extraordinary care. You can choose to make a one-time, monthly or annual donation. We also offer planned giving options and the opportunity for memorials and tributes.
  • Become a Champion for Care:  Each year, the Champions collectively designate their giving to one fundraising project to improve patient care and enhance the patient experience. “Champions” are donors who give $500 or more.
  • Establish an Endowment: Create a lasting impact, ensuring programs and services continue into the future. Contact Foundation Director Deborah Kersting at 314-996-5054 to learn more.
  • Volunteer: Share your time and talents to support our patients and caregivers. Take the first step by filling out our volunteer form.

Please contact us if you would like to donate to a specific cause you don’t see here. We will work with you to ensure your donation meets your goals.

The Gift of Giving Back

For several years, neighbors and best friends Jean and Joyce have volunteered at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MoBap) gift shop. “We’ve met amazing people. Sometimes, it’s a grandparent who is over the moon about a new baby or someone who is going home after an extended stay. Other times, it might be a family member whose loved one is struggling,” Joyce says.

On a whim, Michael Googled "causes of shoulder pain" and was surprised when lung cancer came up in the search result.
