Missouri Baptist operates a full-service laboratory that provides testing support for both inpatient and outpatient platforms. More than 2 million tests are performed annually. The laboratory at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).

Our test catalog provides up-to-date information about individual tests and instructions on what specimens to collect, how and when to collect them, and how to transport them properly. This helps ensure accurate and timely test results.

Regulatory agencies that oversee our compliance include, but are not limited to, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Disclosures of Results
Under federal regulations, Missouri Baptist Medical Center Laboratory is only authorized to release results to ordering physicians or other health care providers responsible for the individual patient’s care. Third parties requesting results, including requests directly from the patient, are directed to the ordering facility or Missouri Baptist Medical Center Health Information Management (HIM).
