On September 14, 190 guests came together at Barnett on Washington for “There’s No Place Like Home” to support the renovation and expansion of the Missouri Baptist neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Each year, Missouri Baptist Medical Center presents awards recognizing nursing excellence. Established over 20 years ago through a generous donation by Don Ross to honor his wife, Nancy, a retired pediatric nurse, and “the amazing nurses at MoBap,” these awards have continued to grow in number over the years. The awards acknowledge nurses of all experience levels and across various categories, including nurse of the year, preceptor of the year and rookie of the year.

The newly established Anne G. Perry, EdD, MSN, RN, FAAN, Excellence in Nursing Practice Award at Missouri Baptist Medical Center honors the legacy of Anne Perry. Created by her co-author and friend Patricia Potter, PhD, RN, FAAN, this award celebrates Anne’s distinguished career and commitment to nursing excellence.
