The Operational Excellence (OE) cohort at Missouri Baptist Medical Center empowers clinical leaders to tackle hospital challenges and improve patient care through business insights.

Each year, Missouri Baptist Medical Center presents awards recognizing nursing excellence. Established over 20 years ago through a generous donation by Don Ross to honor his wife, Nancy, a retired pediatric nurse, and “the amazing nurses at MoBap,” these awards have continued to grow in number over the years. The awards acknowledge nurses of all experience levels and across various categories, including nurse of the year, preceptor of the year and rookie of the year.

The newly established Anne G. Perry, EdD, MSN, RN, FAAN, Excellence in Nursing Practice Award at Missouri Baptist Medical Center honors the legacy of Anne Perry. Created by her co-author and friend Patricia Potter, PhD, RN, FAAN, this award celebrates Anne’s distinguished career and commitment to nursing excellence.

Ken and Jan Labit’s journey began with an unexpected turn when Ken was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2023.

In June 2024, Missouri Baptist Medical Center held a “Swing the Hammer” event to celebrate the construction of the new cardiovascular hybrid operating suite, which is scheduled to open in December.
